Monitoring and Evaluation Officer





Financial Intelligence Authority is hiring a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to design and implement systems to track and assess the progress and impact of projects or programs in the Authority


 



 


Key Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Prepare, implement and periodically review the FIA Statistics Strategic Plan, as part of the Plan for National Statistical Development.

  • Prepare periodic reports such as quarterly and annual M&E reports.

  • Provide cross-departmental support in development and implementation of monitoring plans, with SMART indicators.

  • Coordinate the conduct of periodic evaluations of FIA

  • programs/initiatives/interventions.

  • Implement monitoring systems and maintain an up-to-data base for tracking fundamental economic, and institutional specific ML/TF/PF indicators for ease of reporting (internal and external).

  • Implement M&E guidelines and ensure that the standards are met.

  • Keep track of challenges and issues raised through monitoring reports, to inform continuous learning and improvement.

  • Provide support to the Planning and Budgeting function, and the Research and Policy function in aspects involving monitoring and evaluation.


 


 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:



  • Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Economics, Quantitative Economics or Monitoring and Evaluation from a recognized University.

Competencies



  • Knowledge and understanding of the Authority’s vision, mission and objectives.

  • Should possess values of the Authority which include; integrity, confidentiality, Accountability, professionalism.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

  • Working knowledge of computer and data processing applications to budgeting and planning in the public sector like Stata, SPSS, Epi data, E views, MS Office packages.

  • Good report writing skills;

  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills,

  • Excellent Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills;

  • Excellent Data Management and analytical skills.

  • Excellent Planning and Organising skills;

  • Excellent Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment, and Learning (MEAL) Skills.
