The International Rescue Committee is hiring a Dispenser responsible for dispensing drugs and ensuring timely reordering to avoid stock outs. The dispenser will ensure good storage practices of pharmaceutical supplies at the facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Dispense drugs to clients.
- Conduct counselling of clients
- Ensure proper recording of drugs.
- Monitor drug stock and inform the supervisor.
- Participate in the drug stocktaking.
- Participate in CME and any other trainings organized by IRC.
- Provide health education on medicine use.
- Ensure health, safety, and security in your area of operation.
- Promote the vision, mission and the values of IRC as expressed in the policies, regulations & guidelines of the Organization.
- Any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have certificate in dispensing and pharmaceutical management or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Must be registered with the Allied Health Professional Council.
- Must have a valid practicing license.
- Relevant work experience of atleast two years with an INGO is essential.
- Be able to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
