Watoto Childcare Ministries is hiring Secondary School Teachers (Physics and Mathematics


Key Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

 



  • Conduct classroom instruction in accordance with Watoto education standards and the Ministry of Education and Sports.

  • Evaluate teaching and learning by conducting monthly and termly assessments.

  • Monitor subject and class academic performance of learners to ensure academic excellence.

  • Create and maintain a safe, conducive, and interactive learning environment for learners.

  • Recognize and celebrate outstanding learners in different aspects of school life.

  • Demonstrate good stewardship of resources and property in the school community by ensuring the safe custody and optimum use of equipment assigned.

  • Motivate and engage learners in at least one vocational skill and ensure consistent active participation in skilling activities.

  • Monitor and report performance of learners in vocational skills.

  • Assess and evaluate real-life projects presented by learners.

  • Conduct effective leadership sessions with learners in small groups.

  • Lead one-on-one mentorship sessions and provide guidance by being present and available in the lives of learners.

  • Conduct real-life projects to provide real-life learning experiences for learners.


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:






  • The applicant should hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

  • At least three (3) years of experience in teaching.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High degree of flexibility and initiative.

  • Commitment to work within a team environment and ability to work under minimal supervision.

  • Pedagogical skills, creative, and innovative skills.

  • Knowledge of computer skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
